Volunteers needed for new East Cambs community heritage project

“Telling the story, from the 17th to the 21st Century, of the people who came to East Cambridgeshire to work”

Volunteers needed for new East Cambs community heritage project

This new community history project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, combines oral history and research with drama and film to celebrate the history of migrant workers in East Cambs from the 1650s to the present day.

Rich Soil, Rich Heritage will recruit and train volunteers, work with other community groups, local museums and heritage bodies to preserve and present the regions heritage to the broadest possible audience.
The project will be starting early in the New Year and we are currently looking for volunteers to help with
• Oral History
• Archival research
• Fieldwork

Please note that you will need to be independently mobile to travel throughout East Cambs and have basic IT skills.

If you would like further information or would like to be involved please contact Hetti Wood on 01353 722228.
